BREAKING
3 more zookeepers "resigned" this week. Coincidence? ◆ Banana imports to the Urangutal region up 400%. Nobody is eating them. ◆ Local capuchin spotted wearing a tiny robe. Zoo says "it's a towel". ◆ Candle shortage reported in 4 villages. You know why. ◆ Grisio's enclosure found EMPTY for 6 minutes on Tuesday. Cameras "malfunctioned". ◆

CLASSIFIED

HE IS NOT AN ANIMAL.
HE IS AN ARCHITECT.

For years the mainstream media has told you Grisio is "just a gorilla". A "large primate". A "please do not tap the glass". WAKE UP.

Grisio is a western lowland silverback who has quietly assembled the largest secret society in the animal kingdom: The Order of the Silverback. Gorillas, chimpanzees, macaques, capuchins. Thousands of them. Organised. Candle-lit. And, according to our sources, very good with spreadsheets.

Grisio, a silverback gorilla, stares directly at the hidden photographer through foliage
EXHIBIT A. Grisio makes eye contact with our photographer 0.4 seconds before the photographer's phone "mysteriously" ran out of storage.

Who is Grisio?

What THEY tell you

  • Western lowland silverback, approx. 190 kg
  • Born in captivity, lives in a zoo
  • Enjoys fruit, leaves and "enrichment toys"
  • Sleeps around 12 hours a day

What we KNOW

  • Speaks at least four languages, including sign, Russian and one nobody can identify
  • Has read every book in the zoo gift shop. Twice. Left reviews.
  • Finished the head keeper's crossword. In pen. Correctly.
  • Does not sleep. He "rests his eyes" during the keepers' night-shift briefings

The Timeline They Tried To Delete

  1. 2019 Grisio arranges his lunch into what an engineer later called "a perfect scale model of the zoo's electrical grid".
  2. 2021 The chimpanzees in the next enclosure stop throwing things. Keepers note they are "taking notes".
  3. 2023 The first candle-lit gathering is photographed (Exhibit B). The enclosure has never been issued candles.
  4. 2024 Macaques in three regions begin knuckle-walking in formation.
  5. 2025 The skull (Exhibit C). The zoo calls it "an enrichment toy". Enrichment for WHAT?
  6. 2026 Sightings begin outside the enclosure. See the map. Then lock your doors.

THE ORDER OF THE SILVERBACK

The Five Commandments

Recovered from bark scratchings at Site Alpha. Translated by a retired linguist who now refuses to leave his house.

  1. The canopy sees all.
  2. No banana shall be eaten alone.
  3. The glass is only a suggestion.
  4. Knuckles to the earth, eyes to the sky.
  5. When the candles are lit, the keepers are asleep.

Tick every sign you have noticed. Be honest. He will know if you are not.

Your monkey is (probably) clean. For now.

EYEWITNESS TESTIMONY

"I went in to clean the enclosure and there was a chalkboard. When I came back with my supervisor it was gone, but the chalk dust was still there. And he was smiling."

D., former zookeeper (now a lighthouse keeper, "far from trees")

"My capuchin used to steal my keys. Now he steals my keys, photocopies them and puts them back."

Name withheld, pet owner

"Forty of them, in a perfect circle, humming. The biggest one looked at me and nodded. Like we had an appointment."

Hunter, Site Alpha (has since sold his rifle and bought a hat)
